This propped portal factory building was designed for 300kg/m2 wind loads. The highest wind loading in the world, at the brow of a hill on the windy island of Mauritius.
The factory has two rows of columns, allowing for a wide span with relatively light weight steel frame. The factory building is 120m long and 45m high, and was built in 1999.
